We (the wife and I) had the pleasure of visiting Rocksalt - a well known fish restaurant in Folkestone.
Gorgeous gorgeous food in a classy modern setting, overlooking the sea.
Awesome !!!
Poole park, nice sunny day for a walk.
(image taken on HTC Desire HD)
Hill top view from St. Catherines, Christchurch, Dorset.
You can see Hengistbury Head!!!
Sorry, the image was taken via my HTC Desire HD.
Amazing !!!

Some fellow passengers who were waiting for the morning train into Manchester take a quick nap / snooze at Runcorn station.
Zzz...

Amazingly, this morning I was forced to take a detour whilst on my regular canal route to work.
The normally free flowing canal path had been invaded and blocked by a family of angry swans and their signets. Signs of "Angry Birds" maybe...
I decided to take a quick snap, as evidence, should any road rage incidents occur.
You just never know....

Great idea, hilarious results.
Tadao took these shots whilst blasting the participants with strong jets of air.

Whilst in Manchester yesterday (15th May, 2012) I came across lots of these miniature statues outside the town hall, in Albert Square.
Anyone know what they're for?
Image processed using "AfterFocus"on Android on the HTC Desire HD.
I only had my Android phone with me for the shot, it was a 0.9 second exposure, taken with "camera fv5".
Some lighten was applied using the "LittlePhoto" app.
The shot was taken at 9.52am 15th May, 2012.
I came across loads of these tiny clay statues on the floor in Albert Square, Manchester today, anyone know what they are, or even for?
They were placed around one of the main statutes in the square, which coincided with the private hire taxis protest at midday.
Android app "Afterfocus" for selective DOF (depth of field).
A great little FREE app that gives you the ability to mark out regions in a picture that you want out of focus.
This means you can give your images to look and feel of images taken on a more expensive fast lens with a wide aperture.
It has the added bonus of giving you the ability to apply some of those instagram style preset filters for added mood or feeling.
A simple idea, brilliantly executed, definitely one to download if you enjoy taking pictures, and giving them something extra, so they stand it from the crowd.
A great page written by Kai, from DigitalRev TV (DRTV) and 5 questions posed by the members of its community.
A great read !!!!
"The thing is, I wouldn't worry about trying to achieve a certain percentage rate of keepers. Photography is an art, it shouldn't be consistent. Plus don't think that you have to attaint pro-like status because they would tell you that you should take as many photos as you can. Don't worry about how many photos you take, only worry when you aren't taking any at all."

Adobe Lightroom 4.1 RC2
Adobe has released a new release candidate for Lightroom 4.1. It has added support for the Canon 60Da, the 5D Mark III was added in RC1.
There are various other bug fixes, most notably bugs from RC1.
Lightroom 4 did not properly open external applications when using the “Edit In” functionality.
Point Curve adjustments made in Lightroom 3 have been restored.
Addressed performance issues in Lightroom 4, particularly when loading GPS track logs, using a secondary monitor, and the controls within the Develop module.
Ability to update DNG previews and metadata for more than 100 photos has been restored.
This update allows for improved viewing of subfolders and stacks in folders with a large number of photos.
It was possible that a layout of a saved book could be lost after quitting Lightroom.
Here are the results of my long exposure experiment with my HTC Desire Hd, using the Camera FV-5 lite app, with a 20 second exposure, iso 100, in the dark, trying to write my name using the remote for my Sony TV.
It seems the phone can detect the IR signal from the remote.
Watch "Hong Kong, Eaton Smart, Jordan, Pak Hoi Street" on YouTube
The view from the corner of the Eaton Smart Hotel, on Pak Hoi Street, Jordan district, Hong Kong, just off Nathan Road, Kowloon.

Came across this funky wall art on the corner of Albert Square, Manchester.
Looks like some sort of drinking campaign, alcohol, drinkaware drinkaware.co.uk type thing, kinda cool !
